Country Singer-Songwriter Launches an Annual Music Series at His Alma Mater
Multi-Grammy award nominee Jamey Johnson was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry tonight. The surprise invitation came from Opry member Bill Anderson at the close of a writer’s round featuring Anderson, Johnson, and award-winning songwriter Buddy Cannon performing songs they had written together.
Cowboy’s 25-year-old son, Wyatt, died tragically and unexpectedly this week, so we are rallying music lovers everywhere to help Cowboy through this time, just as his music has carried us through some of our darkest days. We are raising money to cover funeral costs as well as other related expenses.
