Jamey Johnson’s 8th Annual Homecoming Concert raised a record-setting $514,000 for the Nikki Mitchell Foundation and the Marines Toys for Tots program.

The sold-out event, which attracted nearly 5,600 music lovers, was so successful that the concert had to be moved from the Cottonwood Golf Course to the Montgomery Biscuits stadium to accommodate the large crowd.

“Way to go, Montgomery! I want to thank the people who came to our concert for supporting the Nikki Mitchell Foundation and the Marines Toys for Tots program,” Johnson says. “It’s all going to one of the greatest causes I know: fighting pancreatic cancer and helping those who are suffering.”

This is the sixth year that the Nikki Mitchell Foundation has been a part of the Homecoming Weekend, bringing the total raised to $1.3 million to help those battling pancreatic cancer. This year’s total was about a 22 percent increase over the $421,000 raised in 2018.

In addition to Johnson, performers included Toby Keith, Scotty Emerick, Kid Rock, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Dennis Quaid, Ron White, and more.
