Runnin' And Gunnin'
Just checking in and wanted to update you on what's been going on lately. I've been runnin' and gunnin' since we released the record in August. It's been cool cause I've gotten to meet tons of fans out on the road. In Sept I took the guys to New York City. We did the Imus in the Morning Show and then played a set with the amazing Lee Ann Womack. It was my first time in the city and I loved it. We got a car and headed down to the World Trade Center Site which was mind blowing then we headed to Little Italy for a great dinner. I couldn't get over how many people were in Times Square. Very cool.
After NY we headed to Boston to play Farm Aid. What an honor that was. I got to hang on the bus with Willie Nelson for a while after our set and I had him sign "old Maple". What an awesome day.
We are all over the map these days...I hope to see some of y'all at a show soon. Thanks for all of your great emails and all the support you've shown me. Oh and thanks for the phone messages too, keep them coming at my number (615)823-5592.

It's about dang time that real country music came back to town!
Thank you Jamey! Your show in Columbus, GA was AWESOME. I dont remember hearing you sing "My way to you" at the last two shows since the release. I really love that song. I cant wait to hear all the new songs on the new CD that I have been waiting since August for. Ever thought of a doing a live CD?. You wouldnt have to take time off of the road for that one. Hey Jamey, If you ever read these maybe this one will bring back some memories of the old days. Me and my bud camped out for your tickets in Charleston WV. We got 8 inches of snow while we waited. The only two country boys in the tri-state that wanted to make sure we were FIRST in line to get great seats for this AMAZING show. Ya know what happened. They had already SOLD 3/4 of the front section TWO DAYS BEFORE we were told, which I believe there were more gone than that! Then they made us drawl tickets and GO 13th IN LINE. We got tickets but dang Jamey they gave us a dang raw deal. I aint tryin' to toot my own horn, but man fans like us are the ones that last a lifetime! And whatever system they are using turns me away from the whole dang process. Signin' off pissed.
Just saw your New Orleans show at the Howlin Wolf on the 28th. An outstanding performance, I cant wait to see you again in April with Hank Jr. Really enjoyed meeting you, and appreciate the autograph on my guitar. Jamey, I'm a local musician in the Richmond, Va area. I know you're playing a show february 18th at The Hat Factory in Richmond and I'm really hoping to come out and watch the show. I have a show Richmond 17th at The Blue's Place in Colonial Heights, VA (20 minutes south of Richmond) and I didn't know if there was anyway you or a representative of your's could come and check it out. I would give anything to play music like you do and touch millions of people with a single song. I truely hope you or someone close to you reads these comments. Hello Jamey, My name is Cathrine Martin and I love your song IN COLOR, it always reminds me of my Grandfather who passed away in 2000. I was born on his Birthday and we were extremely close. However, what really blew me away was the first time I saw you at the Tribute to George Strait, He is a favortie of mine. I had just lost my Step-Father in October of 2008 and was feeling really down, then I was watching the tribute and this man who looked remarkably like my DAD is standing there and all I could think was how much you favored him. If your eyes would have been a redish brown it would have been like looking at my DAD. Now everytime I hear one of your songs I am thinking of both my DAD and GRANDFATHER. I just wanted to thank you for sharing your gift and love of music with us and please don't ever change your sound because it speaks to the heart in so many ways. Especially to the heart of this True Country Girl from Texas.
When will we get more music? I have just about wore out my lonesome song cd....Since I know you will be reading this, can you include the song that you sing at your concerts about "nothing is better than you"? We know you have tons of songs, get another cd out!!!!!!
